Italy plays a primary role in the field of sheet metal forming machines and technologies.
With a production of 3.4 billion euro, up by 8% over the previous year, in 2023, the ltalian industry of metal forming machines and technologies strengthened its second position in the world ranking of manufacturers. But it did even better in terms of exports. Thanks to an increase of almost 30% in foreign sales to a value of 1.8 billion euro, Italy again came in second place in this ranking as well, in both cases outdistancing its pursuers.
A strong product offering recognised by users and manufacturers all over the world is an element of great appeal for international operators that have in LAMIERA the best opportunity to get a close look at the biggest players in the industry. Indeed, the figures regarding the last editions of the exhibition prove that the presence at the trade show of all major Italian manufacturers – large, small and medium-sized companies, for standard and super-customised technologies – is a very strong driving force for the participation of foreign manufacturers, both from countries with a solid tradition in this sector and from more recently established countries, including those from non-EU areas, whose presence at LAMIERA is growing significantly every year.
Then, with 1.9 billion domestic consumption, Italy is the third world market of these technologies, whose demand is expected to increase in the three-year period 2025-2027. Many reasons to participate in LAMIERA 2025!
